Okay so my car went in this week for tranny trouble. The car would buck or surge. My mechanic told me that he couldnt fix it it was a tranny problem. So I dropped it off monday got it back today the parts they charged me for are master rebuild kit torque converter assembly filter and fluid. I picked it up today and it rode smoother until I got it up to about 50 55. It felt like it was bucking while changing gears. It doesnt do it like it did in the past it seems to be at that speed and a couple times around 30 - 40 mph?
I plan on bringing it back on monday but I was looking for any advice maybe its another problem. The last time I was at my mechanic about 3 months ago there were no problems.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Did you have the car scanned for any codes? Some trans codes do not trip a SES light. That will help us determine the problem

There are several solenoids. Was it perhaps the pressure solenoid?

If I had to guess I would say the torque converter is staying locked up.

Where is it leaking from? the pan, the cooling line, a axle seal?
