Brake Calipers
I'm having a problem finding some replacement front brake calipers. I'm trying not to get the stockers but instead was thinking about some 2-piston calipers. Has anyone out there upgraded their calipers and if so, where did you get them? As far as 2-piston calipers go, is there that big of a difference and is it worth the money? I'm planning on getting some Powerslot rotors and Hawk Pads also, just can't find the calipers that I want. Any help and or direction would be great....

dont quote me on this.. but i know the bville and the grand pix brakes are sorta close.. and there are ppl taking camaro and vette calipers puting them on the grand prix.. so im sure with some modifications is could work...
but then agian you can make anything work just depends on how much time and money ya willing to spend.....

The most That I have done was installed Baer Rotors, they are crossdrilled and slotted.
I also use KVR Carbon fibre pads. I have used Hawk pads before, and didnt notice any difference, but they were on stock rotors. I am actually looking at fabin' up brackets so that I can run a four piston. I just did a complete SSBC 4 piston conver'. on my 76 GMC. 13.5 rotors in the front 12 in the back.

What I would suggest is just moving to slotted and drilled rotors, with ceramic pads. With those pads, the wear is considerably less. One thing you can check on is the two slider rods that the free side of the caliper rides on. Make sure it'* not dry, or the rubber "boot" isn't cracked or broken, or even gone.
If they are, may need new regular calipers anyway.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but moving to dual calipers will require a revamp of you brake lines, and maybe even an upgraded MBC. You'll need a hose to each caliper, unless the caliper is designed for one line in, and splits from there.
