If anyone could help with figuring out out why i am getting fault code po171 after i replaced lim gaskets would really be helpful. I checked for vacuum leaks by spraying carb cleaner around the connection points and the idle stayed the same. all injector plugs seem tight, runs smooth, i know it is fuel trim something bank 1 lean but i am stuck and have no clue what to do. The code came on after about 75 miles after repairs. I had it cleared and it came on again after about 75 miles. I do notice that when i open the throttle in park it takes about 5 seconds for it to calm to normal idle. Any help i can get would be appreciated. Thanks, Tony

The best bet for you is to do some reading on the subject of the P0171 code and some of the diagnostics needed to address it.

To get started on this, check to make sure that one of your rear plug wires isn't touching the O2 sensor wire. If it is, then use a tie-wrap to keep it away. Then check all your electrical connections for tighteness and corrosion. It seems that this code is most often caused by electrical anomalies.

Also, please put your car model, year, and trim level in your sig, so that we don't have to guess, possibly wrongly.

Sounds like a vac leak to me.

On your year... check the evap lines to the electronic soleniod on the back (?) of the motor and also remove and check the cleanliness of the battery cables.

We've seen loose and bad connections to cause it as well as possibly incorrectly hooked up evaps. Although I think your evap can only go one way.

Beyond that..check all your vacuum.
