Default Battery light?

When I started my car today the battery light light came on and my information screen said "check charge system", however it the light and the message went away after about a minute but I came back on when I turned off and restarted the car. I changed my plug wires today but I triple checked them and I dont see how this could cause the "check charge system" warning.
The Battery is in good condition, however information screen reads 11.7 volts when the battery light is on then jumps to a normal 14.5 volts when the battery light goes off.

I have searched for a similar topic, someone please tell me they know what this means or what a possible solution is.
Thank you!

That could be a possibiltiy, but would it really cause the computer to tell me to check the charge system?

I would say get the battery and alternator tested, along with checking for corroded connections. Make sure all your cables coming off the alternator and battery are tight. That could cause the connection to be intermittent.

Joe...next time this happens check the RPM'*. You might have something as simple as a TPS voltage problem or a MAF that needs cleaning.

I hadn't thought of that, I started a thread a couple of days ago because I'm also having the hesistation when I get on the gas and the first thing I though of was the MAF. MAybe they are all related.
I want to purchase a Multmeter to perform some of these test but I'm sure how to set it when checking things like the TPS or the coils. Are the correct setting listed somewhere on here?

Set your meter to Volts DC. In the test area of the forum, the test'* for each device list'* out what voltage you should be reading.
