Default Cold Air Induction "Kinda Stumped"

I noticed that a lot of you have the Thrasher CAI. And I know that GTP CAI'* don't work in the Bonneville. So I called Thrasher and asked them about a CAI for my 01 SSEi they said they could'nt help because they don't make one. They also confirmed that the GTP'* won't work either. So what is the deal? I like the look of the Thrasher unit. Did someone modify it? If so, how? Inquiring Mind want'* to know.

Yup they modify them! You'll need some stock parts, and the thrasher stuff. I know taylorD has one, and maybe mremer? or ridic i get them mixed up all the time...

mremer DOES have one, and so does TaylorD. I don't know what sort of walk through Taylor has, but if you click on the link in my signature for the Thrasher it will take you to another page where I provide pictures, and directions. Check out my cardomain site as well as Taylor'* for more shots

I would suggest keeping it simple and do something like I have done with mine.

Bullet has found a way to simulate the ol LN3 intake style...straight shot!

Back on track tho, the Thrasher intake needs mods as Jason stated, but there are so many ingenius ways to modify the air intake system.

Yes it does need some cutting, but it fits and looks nice. Soon I want to make mine fit like this one does, don't remember who'* it was but I'm going to post thier pics.

The bottom of the box comes flat, this guy cut and glued it to look like this, quite nice if I don't say so.

Don't care for the orange intake piping but fits nicer than mine, I've still got a gap of two. Planing on geting a ported throttle body soon and probably the spacer and I'll see what I can come up with. Thinking about ordering some on Intenses'* intake hosing. Also I like Silverbullets ram air idea leading to the box. What size hose was that again? TIA
