Nice to hear silver.. Now tell me, what all did you have to do? I have been wondering since our cars dont have the performance button, did you have to modify the wiring harness to get the tranny adjustments to be active? Also, could you give some details of the improvements you noticed.. I am wanting to order mine in about 1-2 weeks
Didn't have to do anything, just plug it in.
I'm not planning any testing until I get the Case learn done and the SES code cleared.
Simply having fun right now driving.
Biggest noticeable improvement is power increase and 6000 rpm shift point.
Also, it kicks down into 1st gear and no more 40 mph WOT lag.
I haven't tested the speed limiters yet.

Pdad - It'* a great weekend so I may do some testing and let you know.

Turn off the traction control and do a brake stand, have someone spot to make sure both tires are spinning (just ease off untill the other tire hooks up, then back on the pedal again).
Does the tc stay off or does the pcm jump in and retard the timming? This is important to me
Well, I just got back from a 40 km highway run south of town to "check it out".

Bad news. :(

As usual, I always have the TC turned off. So I do a brake stand and get both tires spinning, then release and accelerate. Spun the tires all the way thru first gear up to 50 mph. Second gear up to 90 mph then I could feel the timing being pulled much the same as before.

Drove for a bit more then tried another run to check out the limiters. 3rd gear is no longer limited to 108 mph but does not go beyond 130 mph.
4th gear remains limited to 130 mph.
Just gets there a bit faster now. :?

This is not a drag car.....I never wanted it to be. So this may be the extent of my modding for quite a while now.
Pisses me off a little but I am happy with the improvements for spirited driving.
Guess I'll have to stick to dragging with the Firebird.

Sorry to hear its not all you expected Silver, can you talk to DHP to get some of it worked out? Glad your liking most of it though, those higher shift points rock, especially with rockers!

One thing I haven't tried yet is upping my fuel pressure.
I've read other posts that say upping the pressure from stock 52 psi to the recommended 54-56 will not make any difference.

I installed the tee and pressure gauge from GP Store but haven't converted the regulator, it'* still on the bench.

ZZP thinks that I may not have enough fuel at WOT and that it should do at least 160 mph. :?

Do you have a scantool? What are your injector pulse widths? You can find out pretty easily if your starving for fuel...

I definitely going to have to move that purchase up on my priority list.
It seems like a necessity when modding these cars.

So other than the Tourque managment and the limiter, those are your only 2 beefs right now? That'* not to bad, how do you feel about the rest of the programming? Recomend it still?

Think I'm going to get in contact with Charles soon and see what he can come up with for us, he was confident in elimintating TM like he did for the 04 GP'*.

Yes, those are the only beefs besides having to do a Case learn to turn off the SES light. I was told that this is a common problem when swapping PCM'*.
ZZP is so helpful that they are going to ship me another unit to correct the problems.

I still recommend DHP. They have been doing it longer than the competition and rumour has it that the competition uses the identical programming.

The rumor is false (at least in INTENSE'* case). Please stop perpetuating it.
