Good bye My 2000 SSEi
So after 6 months of fighting my car and soaking money I didn't have into it, I ended up trading her in. Come to find out, the tranny was slipping, 4th gear was gone, it was overheating and the car kept dying on me. I took her to the shop and they told me the tranny needed to be replaced as well as ALL the mounts in the engine compartment, the head gasket was bad, and that was why it kept overheating and why I had to keep adding coolant and the fuel pump was going out and that was why it was dying on me. I have to commute almost 40 miles to work each way and on the freeway I was only getting around 17-19 MPG. I am going to miss her, but not going to miss all the problems.
So to replace her, I bought a 2006 Chevy Aveo LS. This beast is boasting 103 HP and 107 torque! LoL! I just filled it up and was getting almost 40 MPG! I can't complain in the least bit.

Sorry you got a dud, I've never had a problem with any of my 3 Bonnevilles aside from regular maintenance, and LIM gaskets.
Hope you enjoy the new car, 40mpg must be great! Big step up from the 24.5 I'm accustomed to.
