Service manual
Not sure if this is the right place for this, but it fits the vehicle I own. I've had a few nagging problems as of late and decided to see if I could find a service manual for my 00 Bonneville. Well I knew I could find one, it was finding one at a reasonable price and of a quality that would actually be of some bennefit.
The one I found at a decent price is published by Haynes with the following description:
Haynes Repair Manual
Models covered:
Buick, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac C and H body vehicles (FWD)
Buick - Electra, LeSabre and Park Avenue 1985-2002
Oldsmobile - Delta 88 Royale, Ninety-eight and Regency 1985-2002
Pontiac - Bonneville 1985-2002
Does not include diesel engine information, supercharger information or rear-wheel drive models.
It sells for $12.95US, plus I'm sure some */H to be included. What I'm wondering is if anyone here is familiar with the manual and what is their opinion of the manual.
Thanks, cajun

in general I buy both the haynes and the chiltons manuals for my cars. Unfortunately Chiltons doesn't seem to make one, at least not one that I could find, and I didn't trust the Haynes due to the wide year range it covers (1985-2002 is 17 years) and you know the cars have changed a lot during that time. Also, the haynes one isnt a very thick book, one of the thinnest ones I've looked at actually. Get it for a secondary reference only, but I'd recommend spending the extra money to get the real GM service manual for your year, they pop up on ebay pretty regularly and can usually be gotten at a decent price (between $50 and $85). Comes in a two volume set chock full of everything you could ever want to know about your car.
EDIT: If you have specific questions or problems, do a search here and you'll most likely find your answers. If not, send me a PM and I'll see what I can find in the service manual for you.

Service manual
If I were doing it, I'd save the $12.95 and put it toward a factory service manual by Helm which is GM'* manual listed in the glovebox owners guide. For the $67.50 you'll have much more thorough and specific information on everything. My 2003 manual is 3 volumes about 5-6 inches thick altogether.
I buy the service manuals for each car I've bought except one since Mustang.
You may be able to find a Helm FSM on Ebay, but shop carefully.

Yep, kinda what I was thinking, too. And I always look here for answers before any repairs to my car, great info here. I've got a thread out there right now concerning reapirs to my dual control AC problem (http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=44342). Thanks everyone.

cajun, get the Helm Publications Factory Service Manuals, you won't regret it. In the interim I'll try to help you out as I have the FSM'* for my 2001, which should be the same basically for your car.

Haynes manuals are junk!! period, about the only thing they tell ya is how to change oil

I got 30 buck in all 3 books of mine, and i think will does too.
