E-Brake wont budge.
As long as i can remember my e-brake has not worked. It will go down about an inch and if i hold it down that inch the light will show up that ebrake is on but as soon as i take my foot off it will go away.
It will not go down past an inch and go through the knotches and down to the ground like its supposed to.
Any ideas?

Okay so it sounds like the cables. There probably rusted out and seized due to Michigan Weather. Where exactly are they located under the car and how can i tell if there totally wasted?

the main cable runs down the drivers side of the car near the rocker panel.
to see if they are toast have someone press on the pedal and watch them move. also look for rust build up. if they don't move they are toast. the main cable has a junction that splits it to 2 cables and they run along the rear sub frame

Alright thanks. So im guessing id have to buy 2 of the cables then and they should be the same part number/same cable? How do you take them apart/reinstall?

disconnect them at the junction and then they attach to the calipers disconnect them there as well and replace running the same route. the e brake cables are the same part # for left and right. i got mine from NAPA but i don't remember the price exactly. i think they were about $17 each
