yes i read those problems already, what about the intake leak issue, are they really a big problem on the newer 03 04 models? Thats what scares me the most, problems that can lead to major money out of my pocket. Another thing im going to look for is the vibration at highway speeds, why so many owners having problems with this issue is scarey to

SSEi'* don't have plastic upper intake manifolds. They have an Eaton M90 Supercharger instead, so forget that problem.

Vibration at Highway speeds? Haven't heard that one. Test drive it. If it drives fine, buy it.

I am going to jump in on this thread also because there seems to be the theory that the SSei'* don't leak. It was a big letdown the first day I got my car, mine was leaking.. AGain, mine had 22K miles on it and was driven by a 72 year old before I got it.

I have had Intake problems, a little bit of Intermediate shaft problems, and some of the body side cladding separating from the car. Yeah, I can't believe that for such a "young" car, but it'* still the best looking sedan out there with plenty of power. (Coming from a ex: 88' GTA Trans Am owner)

Again, as long as there is warranty, this stuff can be fixed and be done better than when the car was originally built hopefully.

well thats the first place i looked before i bought the car on saturday, if the intake was leaking, no signs of any leak for now, but i will keep an eye on it since the car only has 20k on it, must say i love the car, gets lots of looks and has more than enough power for this speed freak for now

The vibration at speed is probably a warped rotor issue which is somewhat common on the 00+ Bonnies. The rotors are thin and large and heat up rapidly under hard stops.
