Default Memory Seats and Heated seat problems

Okay so it'* getting cold and my drivers (only important one) seat heater won't stay on. It turns on for a second and then shuts off immediatly. Is it a short? Or is something else wrong? My memory seats work fine, however when I get out of the car and lock/unlock my doors the seat moves just about all the way for when I get in. Then I am forced to use my memory button everytime I get in the car which is kind of annoying. Not to mention I can't see a GM motor working that much and lasting to long. Oh yeah, almost forgot, how do you change the superchrager oil? What kind of oil do you use?

the seat element is having problems...mostlikely the element is bad....a search on here will show you that many members have had similar problems

the memory seats have to be programed to the keyless remote....go thru the programming procedure

SC oil.....there are many different intervalls that you will see recommended here....if the car has a good number of miles it cant hurt to change it....

you need to use ONLY GM supercharger oil that is found at the dealer

One of your heater elements is likely burned out on the seat heater problem. This is a thread where it was discussed.

On your seat position, if I had to guess, I'd guess that you are using the keyfob for one driver (like maybe driver 2 - has the 2 on the back if original) and have programmed the door button #1 for your settings.

The supercharger oil is available at the dealer. Use a hex wrench to remove the plug from the snout of the supercharger, use a sprayer from a spray botttle, or something similar to pump it out, then refill up to the bottom of the threads.

I see that Pat beat me to a lot of this, but I'm too lazy to edit it all.

Thanks guys, I do have a big number two on my key fob. Makes sense now, especially since my girlfriend who I made use the number two setting said its alwasy set up just for her. I feel like a sucker now. Anyway, I have 50k on the car, is it worth changing or should I take it longer?

GM doesn't have a regular interval set up for the supercharger oil, anymore. However, I'd recommend you change it out about every 50k. It'* cheap, and easy to do.
