since its a passkey 3, they had to program it. and it looks like a PITA to get to. i need to take half the dash apart and drill crap, too. http://www.alldatadiy.com/alldata/AF...63751/81548509 :? im probly taking in to a place around the corner here.

i hope this doesnt happen for a third time. $555.00. i freaked out, but i called the stealership and they said i paid about the same on it the first time. 10 bucks more, actually.

key
I would apply lock ease into the cylinder and inspect the key for wear first. You could have a worn lobe on the key.
When it happened on my SSE I had the dealer cut a new key per the key code (not a trace of the old one) for my car and it fixed all key cylinder problems.

yeah, i thought about that. but the key was only a year old(the last replacement of the lock cylinder, they replaced the key too)

Mine gets stuck in that position sometimes too... and I was talking to a friend that has a 00 SLE and hers does the same thing as well. No one else has had this problem???
