Dead Mouse?

Dead Mouse?
I have a 2001 Bonneville.
While driving Monday, out of the blue, my passenger side behind the glove box started to make a horribly loud noise accompanied with the entire car shuddering. I've since figured out that the problem is with the heating and A/C fan.
Today, Wednesday, I turn on the fan and my car smells of death. When I open the glove box, I found a mouse nest. I'm pretty sure I sucked up a mouse in the air recirculation system and it'* dead in my air system causing the shudder and noise.
Sound plausible? If so, I can't figure out for the life of me how to get to the fan. I took out the glove box lining and found nothing that appears to be a reasonable access to the fan. I checked under the hood under the Cabin Air Filter and I see nothing.
Any ideas?

Pull the hush panel under the dashboard down. The fan is located and accessible from there.
When you finish up, want to come clean the mouse next outta mine? Just a nest, no death.

I had them making the nest in top of the cabin filter. I would take off the plastic 3800 cover on you engine and I bet you got a nest. Mine was full of nuts and every time you open the hood you can hear the nuts moving from the under side of it. I have to leave the plastic off. I was told to tie a couple Dounty Fabric sheets around the engine bay and so far no mouse
