Default "Stuff" on front windows

Has anyone seen this? On my 2003 SE, there'* a small gob of something on both front windows, just lined up with the rear of the window vent. They both have "lines" coming down from them, obviously smeared from the window going up & down. The stuff doesn't wipe off, it has to be scraped with a razor blade. Anyone?

Maybe some plastic melted on there when the car was really REALLY hot in the summer time?

I have no idea, but ours has the same thing. It may be dried grease from the window regulator. The glass comes close to it as the window travels down into the door.

Yeah, it'* grease. I first used some GooGone to remove it from my windows, but have since just moved to a rag soaked in dish soap and water and it comes off just as good.

I also have little scratches in my tint from whatever it is down in the door. I have tried to stick a rag onto the window and have it go down in and clean off the grease, and that worked for a while, but it did come back. I didn't even think to look at it while I had the door panels off fixing my weather deflector a few months ago.

Hey, thanks for the tips! At least I'm not alone.

No You are not alone, and I even have it on my '05. Makes me think how long before it dries out and jams. I use an alcohol based window cleaner I found at a Custom Show that take the stuff and most everything else called Invisible Glass. I am very careful with it though around my Candy paint.
