2002 SSEi - "rubbing" sound when making a sharp turn?
Hi,
I am in the process of purchasing a 2002 SSEi, however, the person I am buying the car from says that there is a rubbing sound once and awhile whenever you make a sharp turn left or right from the front of the car.
They said the dealer looked at the car extensively and could not find any problem and the dealer told them that it was due to the type of tires they had on the car.
The tires are the correct size.
Does this sound right?
Thanks as always!

If the tires are rubbing on anything, you should be able to see it in the tire and where it'* making contact. If the car has aftermarket wheels on and the tires are the right size, the wheels might have the wrong off set.

Check the CV/Axel boots. See if they might have slipped off or is torn. A rubbing sound...like rubber on plastic, rubber on metal, metal on metal, metal on rubber....???
