Default 2002 SLE intermittent gas smell inside car.

Anyone out there experience intermittent gasoline smell with no apparent leak?
I recently purchased a 2002 SLE from San Antonio, TX. It started with a very infrequent gasoline oder coming in the cabin HVAC system. The oder is getting more frequent and stonger. I have looked under the hood with the engine running, increaed RPM, and see no apparent leak. There is a slight fuel oder under the hood.
Any help or like experiences would be appreciated.

Check the evap purge system (should be a sticker detailing it under hood) for any vacuum leaks etc. Especially concentrate on the canister.

Also..when filling the gas tank..don't overfill it.. the excess can run down the tube and fill the canister.

Thanks.
The evap canister on this car is on the undercarrige next to the gas tank.
I'm going to perform a closer inspection of the lines over the weekend, but they appear to be intact.
Does anyone know the effect of an evap canister purge solenoid failure?
The oder is coming from under the hood, but there is no apparent leak.
Really scratching my head on this one.

On the evap soleniod, I diaged one on my 95 thinking it might have been an issue. They are tricky because the car needed to be up to temp and running for 2-5 minutes before it would actuate.

Turned out to be a leak at the QD connection to the fuel rail.
It finally started leaking bad enough to find.
I took it apart, cleaned it, blew it out with compressed air, and applied a coating of engine oil to the fuel rail tube.
I put it back together and it seems to be fine.
Thanks for your replies.

Mine started leaking again so I replaced it.
After several painful trips to the local GM dealer to receive and return incorrect parts, I stopped at NAPA.
NAPA has a great replacement quick disconnect fitting. It was simple to install and is working great.
Ask the counter man. My NAPA keep them behind the counter.
The one that was leaking on my car was where the plastic fuel line attached to the metal fuel rail that feeds the fuel injectors.
This comes up between the engine and firewall on the drivers side.
There is also a vapor line and return line routed with the supply.
The return line could also be leaking. Its QD is on the front of the engine attached to the fuel rail.
Its unlikely that the vapor line is leaking.
Let me know if this helps.
