gaz cap alert result in check engine?
it made a couple of days that i have this alert "check gaz cap"
but now the check engine light is on. can it be caused by the gaz cap?
it made also 5 day that outside temperature reach 35 celcius . the light come on since those 5 days, today temperature decrease to 20 celcius and the check engine light
turn off by itself :?
any clue if it can be the gaz cap or both high temperature and gaz cap?

If you dont tighten the gas cap well enough you will get the error message. The check engine light is probably the evap code, the fuel system has to be air tight for the pcm to conduct the test, any air leak and it throws a code.
The check gas cap takes many cycles to reset, some have seen as many as 40 stop.starts.
