Default Slight miss at idle?

Motor has a miss when at idle and in either Park or Neutral. Once I put it in Drive it smoothes out. I do realize after owning 2 L36'* and 2 L67'* that these are not the smoothest idling of motors but it struck me odd it would smooth out once in gear. It almost feels like it'* got a cam in it it misses that bad at times. Any ideas?
