Hmmm.....I know for sure that it came in a separate part box cause I watched the mechanic install it. It was done last spring. They wouldn't let me keep the old unit because it had to be returned to the factory for inspection.
I even ordered a separate screen bag at the same time as insurance against fuel blockage but it turned out to be unnecessary. $70 for that little sucker. :(

Ok... Someone please confirm this for me because I don't know if this is the correct p/n, but I did a little investigating through AllDataDIY.com and came up with a part number for the Fuel Gauge Sending Unit, but when I looked under Fuel Level Sensor, there was no p/n.

Anyway, the P/N for the Fuel Gauge Sending Unit was 25326326.
On GMPartsDirect.com this comes up as:
GM PART # 25326326
CATEGORY: Fuel Tank Meter Sender/Connector
PACK QTY: 1
CORE CHARGE: $0.00
GM LIST: $153.54
OUR PRICE: $76.77
DESCRIPTION: SEN KIT

Please, before anyone goes out and buys this, someone else confirm the part is correct.

**EDIT**
I also show the pump module as:
GM PART # 25326335
CATEGORY: Fuel Tank Meter Sender/Connector
PACK QTY: 1
CORE CHARGE: $0.00
GM LIST: $441.98
OUR PRICE: $220.99
DESCRIPTION: MODULE

**EDIT2**
These p/n'* were found through my AllDataDIY.com account for my 2001 Bonneville SSEi and, although I would think that they would apply for all 2000+ Bonnevilles, I do not know if they do.

Man that is very weird that we came up with different p/n'* unless there is a difference between the years, yours being '00 and mine being '01...

Yeah, I was thinking that, too. As they apparently had 2 for 2000, maybe they made another change for 01? It'* hard to tell if more information is useful, or just serves to confuse the issue.

I am assuming that the different part numbers for the NA vs the SC means that we have different fuel pumps......hmm... must be different capacities at the same pressure. :o
....makes sense.

For the fuel pump, it just shows 2...first and second design with no differentiation between the NA and SC. That just appears to be for the fuel level sending unit. :?: This is what I found for part numbers at alldatadiy for the fuel pump.

Parts . OEM Part. Price
Fuel Pump
.
. 1ST Design . 25335918. $526.15
Notes. Contact dealer
.
. 2ND Design . 25330717. $451.25
Notes. Contact dealer

All of these part numbers have most likely been superceded with newer part numbers as the changes have taken place. They are probably all backwards compatible. The only real way to do it would be to call up the service/parts department at your local dealership with any one of the part numbers for the Sending Unit and ask them for a price and if that p/n has been superceded by a newer number. If you can, get that p/n from them and plug it in to GMPartsDirect.com for added savings.

i know i am bringing up an old post *wipes off dust* but i just recently got firefox and now i can fully use my internet again IE wasn't allowing me to search on GMPD... anyway i was looking for random parts on GMPD and found this:
GM PART # 25330713
CATEGORY: Fuel Tank Meter Sender/Connector
PACK QTY: 1 CORE CHARGE: $0.00
GM LIST: $145.27
OUR PRICE: $72.63
DESCRIPTION: SEN KIT

now i've know people have said that you have to replace the whole fuel pump assembly, if that is the case then what is this part because it says it is a fuel gauge unit.

Has anyone pulled, or replaced their fuel pumps themselves? Not having to drop the tank would seem to make the job easier. A friend'* 2000 SSEi'* pump is noisy when it first starts up. Wondering if it'* a DIY job or not. Alldata doesn't seem to have instructions on its replacement.
