Default hit and run repairs

hey everyone, i posted a topic last week about a hit and run here

the insurance deductible on this will be 500 dollars, but i was looking on eBay and found these
a bumper and a headlight for 200 total, now the bumper isn't painted but thast what id like to know.

would this be an easy fix? just to put a new bumper on? and how much do you think it would cost to paint just the bumper...

i also found this though... an ssei bumperan ssei bumper, couple of questions about this..

1. is that cheating? hahah
2. will it look okay even though the rest of the body is an SE style?
3. is it even possible, or is it an easy "upgrade"?

*edit* im also assuming that ill be able to find these parts much cheaper (i.e. no, or less shipping) closer to me

Here is my opinion, It might be an easy fix providing nothing under the bumper is damaged. It'* hard to tell until you get everything apart. Secondly, to paint just the bumper (if you take it to a shop) will be between roughly $125-$200 for labor and materials. As for your other questions,

Is the SSEi bumper cheating? Not so much really, if you like the look, sure why not. Cheating I'd say is putting SSEi badges on the car and not changing anything else.

Will it look ok with the rest of the car looking like a SE, probably not.

And yes, it is possible, but your probably better off just getting an SE bumper. It'* less stuff to modify. Personally if I had a SE and wanted the look of a SSEi, I'd change the side mouldings and everything. Otherwise it will look kinda funky.

These are my opinions, someone else will chime in soon I'm sure.

You'd def need a new bumper support.... Stick with an SE bumper.

I'd replace with the SE bumper, it'* the correct bumper. That ebay SSEi bumper looks a little rough. I agree with Pearl also, if you were to replace with the SSEi bumper, you would have to get the remainder of body cladding for the sides & a rear bumper for the car to look right. Cost prohibitive to say the least. My .02 : )

yeah, i think i'm going to have to agree with you guys, i was looking at an ssei last night and tried to imagine the front end on my car and it wasn't working. well i think im just going to end up paying the deductable, because the cost of the parts and the paint labor together are pretty much 500 anyways.. thank you
