Angry A/C blows warm after take offs

My a/c works great cruising down the road, driver and passenger side blowing ice cold. I stop at a light or stop sign (Still Cold). When I take off at any level of acceleration (light, med, heavy), it will blow warm air on both sides for 20 seconds or so and then will return to ice cold again while i'm cruising. If I drive on the Expressway, it always stays cold. It has a full charge and I even replaced the belt, thinking it might be slipping somehow but that did not help.

Any Ideas!!!

I'm thinking this is vacuum related. That way when you accellerate and there is no vacuum for a moment it defaults to warm. Double check the engine for any vacuum leaks.

I've looked at both systems for 03 and can only come up with two things that might be the problem. One is that you have a connection not making good contact so that under any acceleration the wire is losing contact and causing a malfunction of the temp control or the AC compressor under the hood.

The other is that your computer is sensing the acceleration request and is turning off the compressor to allow more power--which it should only do under fairly hard acceleration. I would guess 75% pedal before it turns off.

Another oddball thing might be that your coolant is low in the radiator and is leaving an air bubble in the heater. When you accelerate the increased coolant flower from the water pump, is putting hot water through the heater and the temperature sensors on the automatic system aren't adjusting to the hot air coming out quickly enough so you're feeling the hot air. Check the coolant in the radiator when the car is cool to be sure it'* completely full.
