rear air struts
Hey gang, bonneville mac here again I gots a ? for ya.
Has anyone tried the lowering kit from domestic performance?? The one that has the two springs for the front. They say you can adjust the air struts in the rear to achieve a 1" drop in the rear. I have a 02 se do I have the air struts?? And how hard is it to adjust them if I do?? Any help would be most appreciated.
Peace,
Mac

Hold off on buying anything from DP until further notice. Refer to the topics in the Vendors forum for details.
SE'* typically don't have air struts. Easy to check. See if you have any tubing going to them. Should be visible from the wheelwells.
Refer to the pics here for where to look:

Wonderful timing on your response, Will. One of my "to do" things this weekend was to check out the lowering springs since I have to redo the front end anyway due to all the squeaks from the seats. After reading the post in the Vendors section(which I don't normally have the time to read), looks like that idea is out the window.

I think all the 2000+ Bonnevilles have Electronic Level Control (ELC). Mac, you may have to look into adjusting the height sensor arm to lower the back end slightly.

Hey guys,
Thanks much for the heads up on DP. I probably would have ordered from them, but now I won't until I get further notice. Man I have to say this is the best club I've ever belonged to. The admins are great and all the people seem so willing to help.
It really is the details that make the difference.
