Kyle: Does the button for the drivers side heated seat illuminate still? i'm wondering if mine isn't working due to something other than the element because the button doesn't illuminate either now.

The light on the button is wired directly to the illumination circuit and should not have anything to do with the seat heater. There is an LED in that button that most likely burned out.

Make sure your light isn't momentarily lighting. If it does, but goes right out, it most likely means a short in the element. If it lights, and stays lite, then it could be an open element.

Yeah my seat heater hasn't worked on the D.* since I bought mine. I press the button it lights up, then goes off. Oh well, no need for toasty buns anyhow, the car is in storage. But I do want to fix it one day.
