Driver heated seat
I bought the car with the driver heated seat not working, which cut the cost of the car a little bit. Now I wanna fix it but I fear I'd have to tear the seat apart.
All I can tell you that I know is that when I press the heated seat button on my side I only hear the clicking of a relay go on, then off. *push* *click*(on) ...half a second goes by... *click*(off)
Where do I start looking?

I have the same exact problem. Mine worked last winter and now it doesn't so i don't know what'* going on. I took my seats out to thoroughly clean under them but im not sure if that affected things. Thanks for the link Archon.

I got near the end of the first page of that post and just said "Screw it, I'll deal".
Unless I'm super bored and feel like doing something constructive I'm not gonna bother with all that.

hahah i read about that far and thought to myself; "once the passenger side goes out i can pull the plate with the switches in it and then knock the switches for heated seats out and fill it in, sand and repaint with color coat"

Its very easy. Buy the element and stick it on. The seat cover simply comes off by pulling the tabs out and up. About 1/2 hour job. I thonk the lement replacement is about 120 bucks if I remember.

Nope, your seat has a cover on it..........look on the side of it. It is attached with black clips that simply come off when you put some down pressure on them, then lift out and up. The cushion stays in place. The bad heating coils are imbedded in your cover, just cut the connectors off and then the replacement coils come as stickons. Normally it is only the bottom of the seat that is bad, which causes none of the elements to work.
