I think he is trying to ask if he could charge the battery using the positive jumper connection by the fuse box in the engine bay and ground to the block, right?
i've jumped my car doing that, but never charged the battery

If jumping the car, you are suppose to use the + position provided under the hood and a ground on the engine. When charging a battery, I usually attach the charger directly to the battery. However, in this case, I can't get to the battery. I am asking, can I try to charge it, using the instructions for jumping?

Oh crud, thought you said change, not charge. That'* what 2 hours of sleep in the past 2 days gets me. I see no problem doing this, but connecting as close as possible to the battery is best.

What is wrong that you can't get the back seat up? even the first time I took mine off it came off on the first pull, there are tabs on the right and left, you can reach under the bottom edge and find them and then just pull like hell to get it out of there
