DIC messages all at once
:?: What do you guys think? My Service Stability message came on one day on the way to the shop... then at the shop, the Low Battery messsage came on. Had the battery replaced at the shop, then next day I got the Check Tire Pressure message. No other associated lights, bells, or messages - just what I listed. I reset the tire message, and the Service Stabillity went away 'cause the battery was replaced. Is it all connected to the battery being low, or is my DIC 'puter dyng? Everything seems to work now. Opinions?

A low voltage condition can cause all kinds of electrical gremlins to start playing with the systems in the car. It could very well be tied to the bad battery.

A low voltage condition could cause those warnings like Archon stated. There are other functions on the DIC that maybe should have annunciated also, but who knows. The Service Stability & Tire pressure warnings both originate at the EBCM and are sent to the Instument Panel Cluster (IPC) via serial data bus to turn on the warnings The Battery Low warning is generated when the system voltage is less than 10.5 vdc. The Dash Integration Module (DIM) communicates battery voltage to the IPC via serial data bus. Anyway, if no more mystery warnings come in, then I'd say the battery could have been the culprit. Make sure all battery cables/connections are clean & tight both ends, under protective boots also.
