Default Couple issues

For some reason I have noticed that my car hasn't been engaging reverse like it should. When you put it in reverse you have to wait 2-3seconds for it to engage. If you don't wait the result is a jerk into reverse. If you wait then it operates normal. No issues going forward, any ideas on this?
edit - I did the tranny fluid and filter 15000km'* ago.

One other thing, we go to the drive-in alot in the summer and I noticed on this car there is no way to have the DRL off when the car is on (at least not that I could firgure out). On my grand prix I could just set the Ebrake and turn the car on and the lights would stay off, anyone know away around the DRL'* coming on when parked and idling?

Set you park brake, then turn your Twighlight Sentinal on, then off again.

This is a TSB for a similar issue. It is listed for the '03 & '04 model years, but yours could have a similar cause. Start by checking the condition and level of your fluid.

Or do the DRL disable mod and turn on the parking lights.

The DRL'* only operate during the daytime and won't come on unless you have the car in gear and they turn off when the car is in park. If it'* getting dark out, the regular lights will automatically come on and stay on even when parked. To alleviate this, when in Park turn the Twilight Sentinel on and then back off and the lights will turn off.

If you want parking lights on only, then do the above and then you can turn just the parking lights on via the lever on the steering column. Or when parked, turn the lights on, then off, then to parking lights and your parking lights should be on only (make sure your fog light switch is off).

Hope this answers your questions.
