Default cone filter inside stock airbox (gutted)

Would it fit? Maybe not a 9" but a 7" might? I might try this. I'm thinking of gutting my airbox and seeing if I could make this work....then you;d have the best of both worlds.

I have a panel K&N in there right now. I just looked at it and it would appear there will not be enough room for a cone filter so I might just gut it and leave the panel K&N in......

I have a FWI made with the Intense tubing already....it'* very noisy in the morning (egr) and I don't like it getting so dirty.....I'm looking for something where I can keep the stock box look along with the place for the PCM etc. Plus I feel the stock box insulates pretty well...

the filter shouldnt get THAT dirty inside you fenderwell...

but your loss is someone elses gain... I know for a fact that someone would be more than happy to buy the FWI tubing from you ( such as muself )

I'll keep that in mind.

Well, I gutted it yesterday and all went well. Piece of cake with my air tools. Feels more responsive and pulls harder on the freeway....I'm happy
