My baby is sick.
I have a 2000 SSEi that has had many problems of late, the most recent being the "service engine soon" light blinking and extremely rough idling. This morning, some god-awful smell came from somewhere. Also, for the past couple weeks, Daisy has "stuck" when accelerating. There will be an audible thud and then she'll take off. Transmission, mayhap?
I love Daisy, I really do, but she'* just so high-maintenence anymore...LOL
Anyone know what might be going on? Thanks in advance!

a FLASHING SES light means you are misfiring, and that you shouldn't even be driving the car. You need to get your car scanned for codes so we can tell you what is going on. Either have them scanned for free at your local parts store, or buy your own scan tool so you can do it at home.

A clogged converter can cause so much pressure in the motor that misfires happen which will cause the SES light to blink. I recommend having the catalytic converter checked and replaced if needed.
