Default Remote - unlocking doors

I think the most annoying thing about my '00 SSEI is that you have to hit that damn remote button serveral times for all doors to open. Was wondering if the is an override that when you press the unlock button on the remote once, ALL doors unlock and not ONLY the driver'* door. I know it'* probably one of those stupid saftey friggin things not to have all doors unlock......, still BS to me.

Boott:
1st click should open the drivers door. 2nd click will open the other 3 doors. If your remote takes more than 2 clicks then the battery is shot in the remote.

95SLE, He wants to be able to unlock all doors by depressing the unlock button on the keyless remote one time instead of twice. I'm not sure it can be programmed to do that. Those features are programmed & reconfigured through the DIC. Need to look at the owners manual for additional info.

Sorry took "several times" to mean more than twice.

I do not remember an option to open all doors with one click but at my age the memory sometimes goes south.

I know what you mean it is a pain but if you think about it , it is only one more push of the button.

Remove the thing off the key ring, take a dime & slide into the slot, twist the dime so that the two halves seperate.

Don't have to remove from the key chain to replace the battery....makes it a little easier though.

A dime is used by where the keychain goes through to pop the two halves apart.

Thanks for the tips!!! - it came right apart with the dime. I was trying to hack it apart with a little screwdriver with no success...
