Some service manuals say to pull the fuel pump fuse and run the engine to get fuel out of the lines. Mine wouldn't even start though, with the fuse pulled.

Use 2 well-fitting wrenches (Standard sizes fit best if I remember right on my '02) to break the rear end of the filter loose, then pop the front off (plastic squeeze tabs) and finish unthreading the back quickly by hand. Have the new one close by for a quick swap, because fuel will drain out slowly the whole time the old one'* off. Unless you want to pinch the lines.

Ya I did the pull fuse and start up and it worked , but like Woody says still be prepared for fuel to drain out when u take filter off, have a pan ready also the right fitting wrenches is a good idea as mine was hard to get apart threads inside eroded. Good luckt
