I've never seen a fuel pump resistor on any wiring diagrams. Is it built into the fuel pump control module?

It doesn't fuel pump resistor. It has a "control module" as shown in this diagram.

Look for something like this in the right rear trunk area. It says that it is above the CD player (if you have one)

What year? I don't see the fuel pump control module after 2001.

Well, that'* from my subscription for the 2000. The demo version for the 2003 doesn't always have all the information as a full subscription. I'd have to check my GM SI disc for specific info on the '03.

This is the wiring diagram for the 03 fuel pump. The control module is no longer there, nor is there any indication that a resistor is in the circuit, anywhere. Even the diagnostics aids section does not mention a resistor to check. Basically just the relay, fuse, and ground.

ok to shed some light on this project

i did some research on GP'* and Archon did some research on diagrams for me

here is what we have discovered.....

the Fuel pump Resistor in the GP'* allows the FP to run dual stage "high" and Low" this started with the 97 L67'* and continued untill untill MY 2000

the Fuel Pump Controll module in the Bonnevilles allows the FP to run dual stage "high" and Low" this started with the 96 L67'* and continued untill 00

in 2001, both in the GP and the Bonneville, the fuel pump resistor and the fuel pump controll module were both eliminated.....soooo that means that the GP and the Bonneville both run the FP in "High" mode all the time

as Archon said....less parts, less problems

thanks Archon, this makes my install much easier
