I am going to be trying a pair of 7000K LED Fog Light Bulbs in my 2001 SSEi.

I will let you know if they work and the light output. I am also putting LED Bulbs in the Front turn signals as well to see if they will work or not.

If anyone has tried to do this please let me know how it worked out. I can post pictures once complete if anyone would like to see the look of the LED Fogs.

Off this subject, but does anyone know where the daytime running light resistor is on a 2001 SSEi. I would like to unplug that if possible. thanks

I would be interested in how the LED'* turn out. And where do you get them at? I like the looks of the fog lights, but mine just don't seem to have much output. So let us know how well they work.

As far as a resistor, there is NOT one. Instead, when the circuit comes on to power the lights, it flows electricity through both bright beam lights in series instead of in parallel. By having them in series, having the extra bulb in the circuit adds resistance which makes them dimmer. The only solution to disconnect them is to remove the relay and add a jumper. Do a search on the forum, there are some really good post, with pictures, on how to do this.

I would have to agree on this. I tried the 32 LED bulbs in the blinkers and I just got a fast blinker. So LED bulbs did not work in the blinkers.

When the LED fog light bulbs arrive I will let you know.

They blink fast because the LEDs don't take near as much power and that feature is built into the flasher to tell you that one of the bulbs is burned out, you need to get a load equalizer for it to work but you still won't have good light output, i've tried a lot of LEDs for my tails and nobody makes a good incandescent replacement in LEDs

where did you get the LED Fogs? I'm tired of replacing the bulbs every 6 months

Ebay is where i bought the LED Fogs. I installed them today and I am impressed with the look. I will know tonight on the light output.

So far I would recommend these bulbs. Headlights are 8000K HID'*.

They really do give the appearence of being HID'*. I showed them to a couple of people and they thought they were HID'*. 7000K color range so they are right under my 8000 Hid headlights and go together good.
