Edited... by suggestion of the mods

Now for the check engine light..... We were driving tonight and the SES light shut off. I am not sure why but it did an i am not going to complain lol. We are hoping to get it back on a scanner this week and check for codes.

SES Lights come one with a set number of failed tests. For example a P0171 Lean Bank One code takes two consecutive failed start cycles to illuminate the MIL. It will take 3 good consecutive starts to turn back off.

Well, lets see what it is first, when you getting that PCM, or did you?

If the PCM is the same...the light is probably one of the same codes.

I had a chance to talk to Jared, todd at intense and zoom at zzp. We came up with doing a pcm and putting the SE vin in the ssei pcm. That way it wouldnt look for anything it didnt originally have and that should get rid of the communication code. Along with that we are going to delete the evap and rear o2 codes from the pcm. We are thinking this should take care of everything as far as codes
Just changing the vin wont change the way the PCM looks for codes. You have to change the whole programming in the PCM. The best way to handle this is to have a PCM made with your cars VIN and the proper code for the N/A motor then have the fueling, timing and boost control tables from an L67 based PCM of the same year.

He was already running a PCM out of an L67, just didn't have the VIN in there. I would bet that the codes are from the old car. I never had any of them. But before I started it up the first time I bought an intense PCM with my VIN in there and a fresh burn. Worked great and I never threw a code ever .

I understand he was running a stock L67 PCM and this is the reason he is throwing codes. He needs to run an L36 PCM with various L67 tables.

I didn't have to do that to go from a L36 to a L67 though. Hummm. Strange. I also ran a completely stock 2001 SSEi bin for a while and it worked perfectly as well. When is he getting that PCM TJ, we are all scratching our heads here.
