Default broken pulley

Hi,

I got a check engine light and when I popped the hood their lay my sc belt down in the engine compartment. It was then I noticed one of the pulleys was totally sheared off and gone except a tiny ring of it. The pulley that broke was the foremost one closest to the front of the car. It'* the other little one across from the tensioner pulley. Now here'* the problem. I wanted to get the part number so I could order a replacement, but my vaunted two volume GM books are running me in circles. It'* times like these when I wish I had a chiltons like I got for the wife'* car.... It has sweet diagrams with all the little lines and numbers so you can find the part name and reorder fast.

Can anyone help me find the name and part number for this pulley, please?

/thanks

P.*. I would post a pic, but I don't have the means to, sorry.

Opps, my mistake, that'* a 3.0" groved pulley, not 3.5" ZZP has metal pulleys so it will be a better replacement.

Yeah, the metal will be better. I'm just glad the belt didn't get tangled up in my main serp belt. That would've stunk.

Metal ribbed pulley is Dayco PN 89051 and usually available at local parts stores w/o shipping charges.

Thanks, is this also the same:

Duralast
Part Number: 231051
Application: With grooved pulley

This was at auto zone while the Dayco was at advance auto. The Duralast description did not say if it was metal or not.

I'm unsure on the Duralast parts. Best way to know is give them a call and ask. They'll probably need to pull it off the shelf to check, but should be able to get the answer for you.

Duralast is Autozone'* brand and therefore it'* not easy to find info on it.

Does anyone make a metal variant of the 3.5 Idler pulley? I just replaced mine after a similar grenading experience.
