I stopped receiving responses to my posts from a week ago, so I'll start over. Sorry to be a pest, but I need some help and don't know what to do next.
After a few days of windows operating by themselves and working sometimes, they all stopped working. All are now open and I can't close them. The buttons for the seat memory don't work, and none of the power windows operate from the drivers door. The power mirors don't work either. The front passneger window just started working again, if you use the controls on that door to open and close the window. The back windows don't work even using the controls on the back doors. I took out both seats and carpet and looked for any corroded wires over the weekend and found none. Today I replaced the driver'* door module and no change. The part number was different on the one I got from the junkyard, but it was from a 2003 SLE. All plugs were the same and it looks identical.
I have not replaced the door controls since I assumed it was the DDM since both windows, and seat memory buttons have all stopped working. I have checked the fuse and the circuit breaker under the back seat, and they are both fine.
I NEED SOME HELP PLEASE! I'm lost. We're getting a lot of rain and I'm having to drive my wife'* mini-van!

Honestly Hal, it'* much easier for folks to follow and help if you bring your week old post back up. Otherwise it'* like starting from the beginning again.

Also noticed in looking through your recent posts that you are seeing a door module issue, window issue and some other door item issues. While it appears you posted most seperately, there is a good chance that they are all related.

The post above addresses all issues. The responses I keep getting from you are all similar to the one you just sent. No help just agreeing that I have a problem or criticising my post. The last response from you was suggesting that I PM someone. I responded twice asking you exactly how to PM someone and you did not respond. I responded to an outdated post with very similar problems to what I am having today stating that I would use an old post to get folks attention. You responded to my post stating only that the post was outdated and did not offer any help.
I'm getting incredibly frustrated with my car, and I don't mean to take it out on you. However, when I send a post stating that I'm having a problem and I really really need help, and all you do is criticise my post. I'm sure you can see how that could drive a man insane.
If you have a suggestion or a possible solution - I would appreciate a response. Please don't respond to my frantic request for help only to criticise the way I posted my problem. You'll notice that most of my posts over the past week ended with my responding to you with an additional questiohn that you never responded to.
After a few days of no response, I just start over again.

Can you get a Tech II scan done at the dealer? I'm thinking it might be a data link connection/communications issue. The 2000 FSM shows the data lines as Tan/Wht between all the DM and DCM.

The electrical section of my FSM is about 1" thick just on the doors.

Do you have water problems, wet carpet? I have seen a few window~door lock problems in Bonnevilles that were caused by shorts in harnesses under the floor carpets.

One thing I forgot to mention. The light on the window lock button is supposed to come on when the rear windows are lockd now blinks on and off all the time. Does that indicate anything?
I spent this past Saturday removing front seats and center console and checking every wire I could find. No bad wires, no bad connections and all ground buss connections are good and clean with no corrosion.
The initial problem occurred the day after it rained and the drivers window was left opened about 1". The only thing that got wet was the controls for the power windows. I immediately removed that and cleaned it up and dried it out. My initial thought was that I needed to replace the control, but I then noticed that the controls panel for the power seat memory positions was also not working. That'* when I replaced the door module. No change.
I guess I could have a bad control panel for both the power windows and seat memory, but that seemed a little odd that they would both go out at the same time.

It really sounds like there is water in one of the control modules on the door. That it happened when it rained with the window down kinda exclaims that. If one side is shorted somewhere, it can prevent either from working. My truck had the same thing happened, I dont even try to put the passenger side down any more, I manually applied power with a jump to get it up. And felling ancy about opening the drivers side. It to is acting squirrely. I've fiddled with the controls and having the same time of it as you. Dual control switching can be a Bitch when a short exists somewhere. I hope if it is a short, it didnt cause a havoc in the PCM. Blinking door light is a definate oddity.

I've called my local Pontiac dealership, Chevrolet dealership and my local Buick dealership. All three basically said the same thing. You'll have to bring it in and leave it for a couple of days. We charge a minimum of an hours labor - $96.50. We don't feel that you will get any results that will help you in any way.
If that'* the next obvious step, then I'll try to make arrangements for transportation for a couple of days.
One more question, what and where is the DSM?

Never heard? Other than manual for mental illnesses and a high performance parts company. ( I googled it)
