Basicly when I'm accelerating I go from high rev 2nd gear to the low overdrive 4th. it completely skips 3rd.

when driving in 4th gear. if I ease into the throttle I can sometimes make it downshift to third. But I really have to go easy and try. in a normal situation when your going from 40mph to 60mph. and you give it a little gas. it will jump down to 2nd.

With the gear selector in Drive. and im crusing in 4th. if I put it into 3rd. Nothing happens.

Is their any chance its a sensor or something. or is the tran. on its way out. Their is only 113,000 on the car. (please be a sensor) What do you guys think?

Unfortunately even if it is a sensor, the trans has to come out for the fix.

Try to get it checked for codes, most likely there is one stored that isn't turning on the SES light. That would give us a much better idea of what is at fault.

i say sell it and buy a new car.
