Just odered a new harness off of ebay for five bucks. Hope I have better luck with it.

orange is usually just the illumination wire(refer to your stereo manuel) which can normally be paired with your hot(red) wire, more pix would help

well right now im waiting for my new harness so ill have to rewire it. i went to best buy and ofcourse they didnt have the harness. They said i would have to buy some harness for 150 if they would have had.

Honestly I'm 100% sure you could've made it work with the one you have just a matter of identifying the channel/power wires and matching them up, the beauty of a quick connect kit; but definitely keep us updated

Here'* an idea, butt connect every conceivable wire and send us a good (emphasize on good) picture of where your at and I'm sure i won't even have the chance to answer before one of our gmforum brothers gives you the answer of where to put the rest

well right now i ordered the right harness so thats all im waiting for now. I hope all i got to do when i get it is butt connect it and plug it in.

Well got my wiring harness for the cd player and installed it. And now I got constant power when I take my keys outstill. Anywhere i can splice to get ignition power?

get one of those fuse adapters and take it off the fuse labeled rap (retained acc power)

Sounds like you mis-wired it, the stock one didn't stay on right?
