Tried replacing rotors
Tried to replace my rotors last nighton the 2000 ssei. Darn bolts holding the calipers to the strut were too tight I couldn't budge them. Anybody got any tricks or ideas to get these things off??? My 99 Grandprix'* came off no problem but the Bonnie'* are on there good! I'm afraid of stripping the bolt, plus I can't get much leverage on the tools to turn it? Would an impact gun help any?

I would not use heat in this area to free them up. A decent breaker bar (like mentioned above) and a 5lb hammer will do the trick everytime. When I did my brakes, I used my 1/2" ratchet and just gave it a few whacks with my hammer to break it loose.

I would soak them several times with liquid wrench, let sit over night, then use a persuader (breaker bar). I would definitely be using nothing smaller than 1/2" ratchets & sockets.

Agreed...I usually hit with my hand to try and start...when that fails I get the ratchet on there and hit it with a hammer.
Make sure of two things. Always hit the correct way, with fingers safe. And always use a ratchet that carries a lifetime replacement.

Got the pass front off and done.....now 2 broken bits latter (3/8'") still trying to get the drivers side off.....I'm going to go buy a better heavier bit....and the breaker bar trick worked.
