Disconnecting fuel lines
I'm tackling the LIM since the internal leak has started to worsen. I'm stumped on disconnecting the fuel lines from the fuel rail. I removed the retainers and the lines slide a little on each other but I didn't want to do any forcing of the issue until I asked for advice.

If you are talking about disconnecting the fuel lines from the rail you need a special tool. You can go to somewhere like Auto Value and a get a package of multiple size fuel line tools for like $7.
NAPA sells a metal on for something like $25 dollars though.
Not worth it if you only need to disconnect 2 lines.
I used 2 small screwdrivers, but it was a struggle, when I pulled the rail off the 00 GTP, but I used the shops tool to remove the 99 rail last night..... easier -yes, worth $20+ -NO.... not to me anyhow. I'd go for the generic multiple size plastic tools for $7'ish.

Thanks for the tip. After I posted, I went back out and could see some internal spring retainers. After trying small screwdrivers for awhile, I realized either it would take a tool to release them or as suggested, I'll just swing them out of the way.
