Default Twisted

The instructions from willwren were exceptional. Wires are very twisted. Has anyone seen a "kit" that just includes them? I will try the bike shop per the previous poster. I am going to try to repair with a strong piece of stiff wire bent around the two cables instead of the stanley bracket will post if it actually works. Regulator fro Autozone $318 each Ouch.

I lost both back windows the same week. Loaned my son the car and both windows can back permanently down. The dialog on this site about how often this happens saved my son some anquish and my blood pressure. Thanks

Zig you should beable to find the cable at any hardware store/ homedepot. You also need the little clamps for the ends. A bike shop might be easier though they would beable to assemble the cables that you need.

It really looks to be improved over the factory part but why when Archon has nearly pefected an almost free fix? Although if a unit is totally shot this is a cheaper alternative to oem POS..

I mainly posted it because the first bracket I made held for a bit then broke and I didn't really have the time to fix it as I was trying to buy a house and after I finally talked to Archon I got it fixed again. Just trying to help the people that don't really have the time to work on it or have just gave up.

Default Regulator rant

Spent all day trying to fix the twisted cables. Not so easy. Window goes up and down then the damw cable jumps off and is a mess again. Sick of it. Bought some bike cables. Has and one had luck with attaching sutiable ends to the cables. the aluminum cable swish on holder do not look very durable. Does any vendo offer a regulator without the motors, they are still good hate to buy them over again.

From where is the cable "jumping off"? So far, we have not found a source that sells parts for the regulator - whether it be cables, or the assembly minus the motor. It'* been an all or nothing thing.
