That just means no supercharger. He should've had water pump, power steering, AC, etc....., just no boost. But, just to let you know, with no cooling system, the engine doesn't stay cold very long at all, believe me.....
I drove my friend home in my STE 1.5 miles when I had a big hole in the radiator so there was no coolant in it, and by the time I got home (about 5 minutes after I left) the temperature gauge was pegged (260*F), and the SES light was on. I didn't notice it 'till I was a block away from my house though. I'm just hoping I didn't warp a head or something. Its very possibly being iron block and aluminum heads, but I haven't seen any symptoms of it yet. (luckily)
So with no water pump, don't try to drive anywhere very far away, you probably aren't gonna make it.
