Angel Eyes Question
I know a lot of you guys are going with Angel Eyes driving lights. I thinking about putting in a set too, but I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of anybody getting ticketed for displaying the blue "eyes" on their car? It'* generally illegal everywhere to have any type of blue lights on your car (unless you're in law enforcement), but do the cops let Angel Eyes slide? I note that the manufacturer does cover themselves with the disclaimer "for off road use only".

Haven't had any problems, don't usually cruise with the eye'* on, but sometimes. Hand full of cops have seen them and haven't stoped me. I do have my headlights on too btw. Techincally I guess it'* illegal, but you could argue that BMW'* have angle eyes stock, so how come mine are a problem?
Ususally though I have the Fogs on at night, the 55watt is way brighter than the stockers, that'* the reason I wanted them. BRIGHT LIGHT. the cool blue ring is just a bonus.
My eye is hooked up to the parking lights, so there allways on if I turn off the fog lamp button at night. I do love how they flash now with the alarm though. very tough looking.
Also I just used the stock wiring for them and used the supplied wiring to run the eyes to the headlight harness for the parking lights wire. No extra switch neccessary

I ususally have the eyes on and my grill neons starting at twilight. At night, on darker stretches of road I turn on the driving lights. I ran a seperate switch for the eyes and used the stock wire for the factory fog lights for the driving lights. I used the compartment where the HUD switches would be for the switches.

I thought all of the Angel Eyes had blue rings...but I found a set of white ones at Pep Boys today. Blue light problem solved.
Pep Boys also carries a set of Pilots for the same price that allow you to select from seven different ring colors...pretty cool.

Do the Angel Eyes lights mount farther back than the OEM lights, or does it just look that way in some of the photos that have been posted? In a few of the pictures I have seen, it looks like they are sitting much deeper than the originals...but its hard to tell for sure. I assume that most people are using their original mounting brackets?
