Default Hard Start after Fueling

Every time I put Gas in my Car..it always struggles to start..I NEVER have to crank it to get it to start...just starts immediately..but whenever I fill up my tank...I try and start it....and i like sputters and won't start with the first crank....I have to floor the gas to keep it from dying..after I do that..it'* PERFECTLY fine every start..until I fuel again....seems like the Gas cap being removed is doing something ?

BTW: I tried once to have leave the car running while getting gas...and the car almost died when I removed the Gas Cap...lowered the RPMs considerably...any ideas guys ?....I assume it is a Vacuum leak or something....but where ?

Is the gas cap getting shut all the way, till it clicks? I don't know if that would affect it, but a lot of newer cars need to have the cap sealed shut to create a vacuum.
I'm not sure how this works with the whole fuel system but I know that a Check Engine light will come on if the cap isnt closed all the way. :?

Check the gas cap seal, you may need a new cap. Common problem from time to time.

I don't think that it....because if you notice that I took the gas cap off...while the car was running once....and the car dropped RPMs immediately...which tells me the car realizes
the gas cap has been removed ( am I wrong to think this way ) ?

It sounds like the car is slow to pressurize the fuel system, common problem is the fuel cap or plugged fuel filter. On rare occasion it can be the evap system?

Could the evap purge valve be faulty? Stuck in the open position?

Try this trick and let us know if this works.

On the next fill-up, once the nozzle automatically shuts off, DO NOT PUMP ANY MORE GAS IN TANK, NOT EVEN A DROP; DO NOT TOP UP. Remove nozzle, turn gas cap down at least 1 full turn.

Does she start right up now?
