Default New to this board and have some basic questions

Hello folks.

My name is Bob......I'm in Goose Creek * Carolina.......Near Charleston.
I had a 96 Bonnie SE but it was my road car and didn't get the TLC it should have gotten.(I was "on the road and didn't have time"......that'* my excuse and I'm sticking with it.) It did, however, impress Me with it'* handling, comfort and reliability.
I just traded it for an 02 SE.......I hope this one is as good.
I also have a Ranger P/up and have done some mods to it per the board I'm a member on.......Nothing radical.......but some basics.......180 Tstat.....K/n.....opened the airbox......hot water bypass.......Mobil SuperSyn 5W-30.......so far.

I have a few questions about the Bonnie that I haven't been able to find answers to in the search function........So ......Here goes.

Are the guages "real"......By that I mean do tability.

My Ranger'* aren't.
My temp guage reads "200"........which is mid-scale.......I'm assuming it has a 195 Tstat because of that.
Does anyone have the P/N for the 180 Tstat and gasket for an 02?

I've ordered the K/n.......for the 02 it'* the same as the 99 Regal......33-2133.......if anyone needs that.

I've looked for a manual for it.......and find nothing........any help there would be greatly appreciated.........Haynes or Chiltons.........Ihey all register actual readings.

I'll be going to Mobil SuperSyn and am wondering what weight others of you are running.........
and do any of you run an oversize oil filter........any P/n'* there will help too.

Eventually I'm going to open the air up more.........and go to duals.....I'm figuring a single in and dual out.......Probably Magnaflow........

Thanks for any help and I look forward to being part of the board.

Sorry for the double posts. We've been having a software problem since the server moved to Florida. Our founder is working on it.

Sounds like you're on the right track with everything. Take a look around at some of the signatures, and you'll see what others do. Many are stock or are in the beginning phases of a long mod process.

Intakes can be purchased from www.angryducktofuracing.com or www.domesticperformance.com both are members here. 99BonnevilleSE and Speedguy, respectively. They also have other products and services to provide as well. Hector (99BonnevillSE) would be the guy to talk to about your exhaust, but it sounds like you've made a good choice already. The 180° stat, seal, and housing are the same for 92-03, but I don't know the number off the top of my head. If someone doesn't jump on this, I'll get it and get back to you. That should be your first mod.
