Driving in to work this morn, this light comes on- don't have my book in the car-been reading it at home so it'* on the nightstand. Car has been completely serviced, any idea what it might be?

Not a clue. Get is scanned at a place like autozone and post the code. Then we will know more.

Did you check your gas cap?

light is on steady- will check the gas cap. I did have the info center tell me to check gas cap one time last week but not since.
I'm going to have to give this car a girls name-

Post the code that comes up and we will go from there.

Well, Here'* what I know- I mentioned the "check gas cap" came up in the info center last week, so I noticed the mouth of the filler neck was rather rusty so I cleaned that up. Wire wheeled it with rust buster. Cleaned out the cap and put vaseline on the seal of the cap. Filled it second time yesterday, light still on. Got it into my guy today, he pulled the codes but didn't right them down (like I asked) he said it was, and I'm going to try and quote him, "it was a low level evap sensor" or something along those lines. He said he cleared it out and to see if it tells me anything else.
He went on to say he ran into the same thing with his wifes car once and he replaced the gas cap and a vent solenoid.--- I'm thinking to myself, how frickin complex do these things have to be! haha- Could you imagine living on the coast with all that natural salt air----whew.
Anyway, that'* what I know right now. Also had him balance my tires. Smooth as butter past 70 now! --*disclaimer-speeds above the legal limit are only experienced on a closed course by experienced professionals*

Has the check engine light come back on since he cleared your codes?

Just a suggestion, but why don't you get yourself an OBD2 scanner? They don't allow you to make any changes to your setup, but they will read codes and clear your CEL. I bought one like this:

no lights yet. maybe 30 miles since he cleared it. all systems good so far.
