Default 2001 bonne excessive play in differential assembly

hi guys. i was recently on vacation when my left outputshaft seal/axle seal starting leaking rather good. i went to a trans shop and they replaced the seal and it no longer leaks but they said i have excessive play in the diff assembly. i noticed that the output shaft moves around a bit but didnt have the cash for them to dig in to it. i was wondering is theres a bearing or anything that goes bad on left side or is it normal for it to move around a bit thanks alot

There is really nothing holding the shaft on the left side. It'* normal that it moves to a degree. Tough to say how much yours is moving though.
