Default Rattling noise when driving...

I have a 2000 Bonnie SSEi Supercharged.... When i am city driving over little bumps in the road i get a rattling noise... Over Bigger bumps, it doesnt make any noise... there is no difference in driving, i checked both of the control arms, and tie rods... everything seems ok.. i lifted up the car and turned the tires left to right and it makes the noise when i do it faster... any suggestions...

Mine always rattled when hitting bumps. Took me 2 months to figure out it was my strut mounts. Check those out. Otherwise maybe something inside the car is loose and rattling.

I've had my 2002 bonneville since new and have 175,000 miles on it. I've had the steering intermediate shaft replaced 4 times by the dealer under warranty for rattleling. Now it rattles again. This is a engineering problem. If the bumps are coming from the rear of the car then yes like the man said in the post before this, it is the shock upper tower mounts which are very easy to change. As a matter of fact I need to do another one as we speak on my right rear. Very annoying

I had a similar problem. It was the metal brake lines that go to the brakes from the master cylinder on the right side. They had come unattached to the metal clips that hold them to the frame. I took a plastic tie and secured them, and the noise stopped.

i just tried checking the brake lines... They are all secure... there was another line behind them on the right side, it looks like either a coolant line or an AC line... that was a little lose and could have been bouncing off the frame... so i secured that i will try and see if it make the noise tommorrow... The hose had a medal section to it that was laying right on the frame... so if that is not it, then the shocks need to be replaced???

The boot on the cv axle was rubbing across the loose lines when the wheel was turned. It would cause the lines to vibrate. It took a year for someone to figure out the problem.
