Default Climate Control Woes...

Wow that title was bad... Sorry I had to hah

Ok N00b here, please don't roast me if this question has already been asked before...

I gotta 2001 Bonneville SSEI with 100K+ miles;

So I'm driving to work one day and it'* a tad nippy out, so I adjust the climate control to a more comfortable temperature, and rather than the typical behavior of the auto climate control, where the system keeps the fans off until the engine has reached a high enough temperature to start blowing out heat-- it just blows cold air, oblivious to the fact I'm getting colder than warmer (because I was used to this behavior from my Winter car which turned on the fans when I hit the button) I notice I keep on feeling gusts of warm air, and it slowly but surely occurred to me I should feel any of the other vents for heat, and sure enough, they're all blowing out heat-- all vents blowing out heat except for the driver side lol...

So I thought how the hell is this possible until I realized there is separate climate controls for the driver side and the passenger side... So I have concluded there is a bug to be worked out in the climate control system for the driver side only...

Is this a common problem? Anyone have any suggestions on where to start looking? From what I've read, it looks like the CC is controlled by servos, I actually thought they were still vacuum lines so that shows how lost I am... Heh...

Thanks for any help in advance!!!
