2000 SSEi Questions
I got the rare chance to drive my old Bonneville today because my son is home from college and I needed to run some errands...couple of issues popped up right away...first...the auto leveling compressor does not come on...the car looks like it is lower in the back and I listened and don't hear it coming on...second the A/C is working great...but only on the passenger side...the drivers side vents are pumping heat and the passenger side are blowing frosty cold...I'm stumped and know you guys will have some things for me to check

Check the fuse for the ELC. If the fuse is okay, then the ELC switch is in the left rear wheel well. Check that and make certain that the rod is connected to the switch and the swing arm - you'll have to pull the wheel off. If the switch and fuse is good..it'* time to get a meter out and start checking voltage to the compressor. The compressor is located on the passenger side behing the wheel well.
With the AC check this thread out https://www.gmforum.com/t280678/. It;* probably your air mix door.

The compressor fuse was good...and the compressor runs if you turn on the air switch in the trunk...must be something to do with the arm

With the AC on one side, that is usually a air mix actuator. Try searching on Archon and air mix actuator. That should get you looking under the dash.

Ok...guess I have to get my ears checked...the ELC works...I took the arm off and rotated it and the compressor came on and the shocks began extending...the shocks look bad but they do hold air...LOL...now the A/C deal looks like a job for another day
